One thing that does kinda get "forgotten" with Power Armor is Mounted Weapons. The biggest draw, in my opinion, is they cannot be disarmed and allow you to carry more than a single two-handed weapon. You could, for example, carry a heavy autolaser as your "held" weapon and have a Merc Grenade Launcher mounted for that classic mecha anime style.
